当帕乌的奶奶帕查尼（杜婉达•董卡玛尼饰）得知此事后，立即让帕乌与万妮达结婚，因为她想得曾孙继承家族。帕乌态度装作很不友善，想控制自己不要爱上万妮达，幸好万妮达得到艺术青年塔亚（潘帕塔拉•斯卡真饰）一路的鼓励与帮助，因为塔亚把万妮达当成他失散多年的姐姐。不久柯凯从纽约回来了，她得知帕乌已经和万妮达结婚的真相后，不择手段要把帕乌抢回来。帕乌发现自己逐渐爱上了万妮达，但却得知自己得了不治之症。为了不想拖累万妮达，帕乌对万妮达恶语相对，直到意想不到的意外发生了，万妮达因此流产。
