剧集根据纪实小说《全粿导演 村西透传》改编，聚焦有“成人片帝王”之称的传奇人物村西透的人生，以及开创成人片业界的人们的故事。山田孝之饰演村西透，满岛真之介饰演他的搭档荒井，玉山铁二饰演给村西创造飞黄腾达机遇的出版社社长川田，森田望智饰演成人片界的新星黒木香。
