本作根据吉本浩二的同名纪实漫画改编。一位人生陷入僵局的漫画作家，为了能鼓起勇气向自己喜欢的女生惠理表白，立志成为一个强大的男人，为此他开始了独自环游日本一周的旅程。
作品中描绘了男主在旅途中与不同地方人的相遇，观众也能随同男主一起感受日本各地的风光。
