唐朝年间，僧人玄奘去西方取经的故事。心海法师将作为他的佛学礼仪导师。作为《大唐玄奘》的男主角，即将挑战出演唐僧的黄晓明在发布会上表示，自己为了这部戏的开拍已经开始吃素。“唐僧”黄晓明幽默表示该戏有唐朝将军，可以邀请成龙大哥来客串，该戏虽然没有孙悟空但是也有猴子，可以请王宝强来客串，引得现场大笑。而网友对于黄晓明饰演唐僧充满了好奇，比如是否会光头、是否会太过入戏等等，大部分网友认为“黄教主”的气质还是与唐僧极为贴近的。黄晓明本人还透露，自己6岁时就曾在西安大雁塔下穿着唐僧衣服、骑着白龙马留影，现场心海法师表示，这便是黄晓明的“佛缘”。
