这位来自智利的导演这几年曾执导《神父俱乐部》以及《智利说不》，这次的题材同样选择了其所擅长的领域，可以期待一下。本片围绕智利当代著名诗人巴勃罗·聂鲁达。由于其在上世纪五十年代加入智利共产党，遭受了政府的迫害与通缉，最终躲入地下离开智利。
