消防和救护人员的工作，由烈焰火场、暴风水灾，到荒山野岭、高空水底…一般人迴避之处，却往往成為他们奋力救援的地方；险境中，施救者和被救者，生命经已在无形中紧紧相繫。香港电台电视部与香港消防处联手製作的《火速救兵IV》，继续以真实个案為蓝本，改编成十集半小时的电视剧。故事涉及一些近年备受关注的消防事故和议题，包括十号颱风下上山搜救行山人士、大型交通运输事故及旧式工厦防火安全问题等。对於普罗大眾而言，可能很多平日在火海、灾场中救火救人的消防和救护人员，都不过是「无名英雄」。这些在灾场中英勇救人的錚錚铁汉，其实和你我一样有血有肉，在肩负重任的背后，随时隐藏著一些不為人知，但却扣人心弦的动人故事和情感。透过真人真事改编的《火速救兵》剧集，却反映了这些「无名英雄」更為真实、有血有肉的一面。2018年刚好亦是香港消防处成立一百五十周年，新一辑《火速救兵》，正好让大家了解最新的消防资讯，加强防火意识。
