本片是根据由久住昌之创作，谷口二郎绘画的同名漫画改编的第三季电视剧。本季延续了前两季的纪录片风格，同时在每集结束仍有原作者实地探访片中店铺的片段，让观众得以更加深入片中料理背后的故事。
