《大人物李德林》是根据河北作家何申的６部中篇小说改编而成的，是一部具有扎实生活基础的24集电视连续剧，它通过县、乡、村三级干部在工作和生活中产生的矛盾、纠葛，结构成一环扣一环的故事，塑造出一批具有时代精神，又奋进向上的、真正为老百姓谋幸福的好干部形象。在一波三折的情节变化中，透视出当今现实生活中人与人之间微妙、复杂、多变的人际关系。
