达子（赵达饰）作为我方派去华仔（骆达华饰）制毒集团的外招技术人员，一年前被赵天义（赵毅饰）派往金三角华仔手下做卧底，没想到身份被华仔识破，达子危机中杀掉新型毒品配方的制毒师，由此成为整个金三角唯一掌握新毒品配方的人，基于此，华仔非但没杀达子，而且以高额代价跟达子达成协议，同时让达子杀掉一同卧底进来的战友并跟达子结拜为兄弟，达子从此被斩断后路，铁了心跟华仔为伍渐渐跟上级组织失掉了联系 。赵天义以矛盾的心情来到金三角，激活当地另一股贩毒集团的二号人物大陆（张陆饰），原来，大陆和达子以及毛乐曾经是赵天义最为得力的三名手下，但在派往金三角卧底过程中，毛乐身份暴露，被达子亲手杀掉，而达子和大陆则经过千辛万苦九死一生分别渗透到华仔和另一股贩毒势力豪哥（王工一饰）两大贩毒组织中，大陆为取得信任从华仔的枪口下救出了豪哥，豪哥为报答大陆的救命之恩不仅将妹妹艾米（苏濛濛饰）嫁给大陆，同时将家族生意交给大陆管理，一同越狱的还有一个叫阿金的缅甸人。阿金看似老实木讷，实则是缅甸警方派来的卧底。阿金和大陆关系很好，但是互相并不知道各自的卧底身份 。
