《活佛济公》第三部的主要故事仍然围绕着济公带领广亮、赵斌等人为老百姓排忧解难、点化世人展开，穿插降龙尊者降魔除妖的神话故事，以及济公活佛与地痞恶霸斗智斗勇的生动故事，将更多宣扬真善美、鞭挞假恶丑的故事，以寓教于乐的方式呈献给观众。 全剧共分“天蚕变”、“朱罗记”、“天鹅梦”、“红花告御状”、“木偶奇谭”、“恶狼传说”、“人狐恋”、“胭脂情”等8个单元故事展开。
《闯关东》讲述的是从清末到九一八事变爆发前，一户山东人家为生活所迫而离乡背井“闯关东”的故事，以主人公朱开山的复杂、坎坷的一生为线索，其中穿插了朱开山的三个性格迥异、命运不同的儿子在关东路上遇到的种种磨难和考验。“闯关东”这种民族行为是中华民族特定历史背景下被迫进行的民族大迁移，关东路上的闯荡需要经历一次次的波折磨难，包括土匪、官兵、土豪、乡霸、流氓、等等各色人物将陆续登场，给山东大汉制造各种各样的困难，在苦难之下，朱家父子、兄弟、夫妻之间产生出悲欢离合的故事。
